5* Review of False Pretences a classic Regency Novel by Rosemary Morris

I m very pleased with this new review.

Five out of 5 star review by Astrid Westerling

Annabelle Allan’s greatest wish is to find out the identity of her parents. When she discovers her guardian has arranged for her to marry a man more than twenty years her senior, she runs away from boarding school in search of her family. However, to escape the unwanted marriage, she agrees to wed Major Roland Sarrat, the man who rescued her when her carriage was held up by a footpad. Little does she know he’s aware of her identity and has done so to protect her from her past.

Secrets and misunderstandings abound in this delightful Regency romance and the characters are charming and well thought out. What I particularly enjoyed about this engaging, well written book is Ms. Morris’ attention to historical detail which transports the reader to another era.

False Pretences is available from Amazon and other online book stores.
