Catherine’s Passion by A.M.Westerling.
Ladies of Harrington Book 3
Cornwall 1815.
A.M. Westerling could not find amusing novels
she wanted to read so she decided to write ones which are fun. She has
succeeded with the prequel, the first two novels and, Catherine’s Passion the
last one in the series.
Catherine’s Passion is an enjoyable novel. The
story does not depend on the previous ones in the series.
Catherine, whose London Season was a disaster.
Nevertheless, she hopes to have a husband she loves and children, while dreaming
of becoming a famous pianist. When a puppy startles her horse, she falls off
and is helped to get up by Julian Fitzgerald, a duke and duchess’s oldest son.
Catherine and Julian don’t betray their mutual attraction to each other.
Catherine rides home with the puppy she adopts and calls Daisy.
What is an honourable nobleman to do when he
falls in love with a lady while he is betrothed to another lady his parents
approve of? Catherine thinks about him constantly and rejects a suitor her
mother approves of.
Catherine loves Cornwall and does not want
another season in London. Julian, bored by London life, has come to reopen a
tin mine but when it is productive, who sabotages his venture?
I enjoyed this unusual historical romance in
which the bedroom door remains closed.
